Tami is originally from Wisconsin where she was born and raised. She came to Florida by way of the University of Florida where she was a diver on the UF Swimming & Diving team. She initially completed a Bachelor’s of Science in Exercise and Sport Sciences where she worked for the University of Florida Physical Plan Division before returning to college. She then completed her Bachelor’s of Science in Nursing at the University of Florida and then her Master’s in Nursing from University of Phoenix before completing her Adult Nurse Practitioner’s certification from the University of Florida. She worked for 18 years at Mayo Clinic Jacksonville as a nurse practitioner in the Liver, Kidney, and Pancreas Transplant teams both in the Hospital and Clinic. These patients were hospitalized patients that were prior to their transplant, being admitted for their transplant, being cared for at the time of their transplant and then after transplant admissions to the hospital. She retired from the Mayo Clinic after 28 years of service as both a nurse and nurse practitioner. She has been a nurse for over 30 years with experiences in skilled nursing, home health, wound care, cardiology, primary care as well as transplant. After her retirement from Mayo Clinic, she started working as a home health nurse practitioner PCP for the past year and a half. She loves taking care of the patients in the home. Seeing them in their home environment to determine the best way to take care of all of their needs.
She is married with 2 grown sons. She enjoys cruising and taking vacations with her husband. She also enjoys exercising, reading, and doing crafts. She is excited to be a part of the Mobile Medical Team.
