Monique Gillins-Highsmith, LCSW

My name is L. Monique Gillins-Highsmith, a Master’s Level Clinician, Registered Mental Health Counselor Intern, Medical Social Worker, Spouse and Mother of 2 fascinating children. I am a compassionate listener, a proactive advocate, solution-focused and highly driven problem-solver. I have a strong belief in the power of positivity and strive to create a safe and supportive environment for all. My educational path and leadership derived from the University of North Florida, I received my Master’s in Health, Rehabilitation Counseling. I have over 20 years experience in social services and worked in various settings (hospitals, skilled nursing homes, home health, psychiatric day treatment, assisted senior living, schools, community outreach facilities and non-profit organizations).
In my free time, I enjoy spending quality time with my family, attending my son’s baseball games, supporting my daughter with her acting career, attending church and Friday night Jumbo Shrimp games with my spouse and son.
