Brenda E. James, LCSW, LISW, is a highly experienced and dedicated Licensed Clinical Social Worker in the State of Florida and a Licensed Independent Social Worker in the State of Ohio. With over 20 years of hands-on experience in the field of social work, Brenda has built a career rooted in compassion, advocacy, and a deep commitment to serving individuals and families facing life’s most complex challenges. Her areas of expertise include mental health psychotherapy, substance use and recovery treatment services—including Medication-Assisted Treatment (MAT) for opioid use disorders, and trauma-informed care for incarcerated individuals.

Brenda holds a Master’s Degree in Social Work from Cleveland State University (2006), a Bachelor’s Degree in Social Work from Capital University (2003), and an Associate of Applied Science in Human Services and Chemical Dependency Counseling from Cuyahoga Community College (2000). Her academic foundation has equipped her with clinical knowledge and practical tools to work effectively across diverse populations and treatment settings.

Currently, Brenda is passionate about providing individualized psychotherapy to seniors and disabled individuals residing in Independent and Assisted Living Facilities or as participants in Telehealth counseling services as part of the dedicated clinical team as a Licensed Social Worker with Mobile Medical Group. Her work focuses on enhancing mental health, emotional well-being, and quality of life for older adults, navigating life transitions and health challenges.

When Brenda has time away from the responsibilities of work, she enjoys traveling, cooking a good movie and spending time with her family and friends.
